Adaptation
Ciocia (auntie) is the best
‘Our kindergarten is the best in the world’ or ‘Ciocia is the best’ are words we often hear from our preschoolers. But it will probably be a while before we hear it from your child. We know that the moment of separation can be difficult for the little one, but also for the parent (sometimes we don’t know who finds it harder 😊), which is why we offer pre-adaptation time to the children, i.e. the possibility of coming to the kindergarten as early as in June, July and August. Ask for details during the registration.
Additionally, we want to share with you our tips that will help with adapting to the kindergarten so that despite the difficulties, which are completely natural, the first few days at kindergarten will be easier for you and for your child.
Saying goodbye to your child
How to make it easier for you and your child?
We know you’re entrusting us with your greatest treasure. Rest assured, we will take good care of them.
What makes it easier
What makes it more difficult
Telling the truth
What makes it easier
-
- honesty on the part of the parent
- keeping promises, e.g. ‘I will come right after lunch’, ‘After kindergarten we will go to the playground’
What makes it more difficult
-
- lies such as ‘Mum just needs to take something from the car and will be back’ – the child not only feels sad but also cheated and more afraid
- a parent that runs away, leaving without saying goodbye when the child turns away – the child will feel confused which only intensifies their fear and anxiety
- breaking promises: saying ‘I will come right after naptime’ and then picking up the child at the end of the day
Positive messages
What makes it easier
-
- parent’s smile
- cheerful, firm voice
- nice wishes, such as ‘Have fun’, ‘Have a good day’, ‘Enjoy yourself’ – thanks to this, the child knows that the kindergarten is a place where they will have a nice time and will have fun/li>
What makes it more difficult
-
- words such as ‘I’m sorry, but I have to go’ – it suggests that kindergarten is a punishment; ‘Sorry, but you have to stay here’ – it suggests that kindergarten is something unpleasant; ‘Don’t be afraid’ – it suggests that there is something to be afraid of
- sorrow and fear in a parent’s voice – fear in a parent guarantees fear in the child
Routine boosts the sense of security
What makes it easier
-
- agree on a way of saying goodbye to your child and apply it – a kiss, a hug, a high-five after which they go to the room
- routine allows the child to slowly gain confidence in that situation, and lets you, the Parent, control the amount of time needed to say goodbye
What makes it more difficult
-
- chaos, rush and nervousness, which appear when a parent suddenly interrupts their goodbyes to the child, and rushes to work
A short goodbye is the best
What makes it easier
-
- don’t rush the child
- say goodbye just once
- talk to the child at home
- leave the room quickly
What makes it more difficult
-
- saying goodbye to the child several times
- long conversations outside the room
- standing in the doorway of the room and watching the child
Patience and sensitivity
What makes it easier
-
- a lot of time spent with the child
- peace of mind of the parent, tenderness and warm words
What makes it more difficult
-
- rushing the child
- threats – ‘If you don’t go into the room, I’m taking your teddy bear back home’
Entering the room on their own two feet
What makes it easier
-
- the child entering the room on their own
What makes it more difficult
-
- a child carried in and thrust from the parent’s arms into to the room

Ideal conditions for developing creativity
Bilingual children have a more complex structure of intelligence, leading to increased creativity and flexibility in the way of thinking.
Daily contact with natural English
Our kindergarten provides contact with natural English in everyday situations and the assimilation of whole phrases. We don’t simply teach colours or animals, but phrases like: ‘Open the door please’ and ‘Let's go outside’.
Great, caring and smart staff
We make sure that our staff members have the best, specialist education. They include philologists, psychologists and speech therapists with a huge heart for children.
Excellent and healthy nutrition
We know how important a healthy diet is, which is why our kindergarten is supplied by a reliable and reputable catering company. We personally test meals for children.
